Privacy Policy

• Account details: name, email address, and your time zone so class times are shown in your own clock.
• Learner details: a child's first name, age and gender where you give them, so we can match a suitable teacher and pitch the lessons right.
• Learning records: attendance, homework you submit, teacher notes and progress on your course.
• Messages you send to teachers or to us through the portal.
• Notification preferences, including whether you have opted in to WhatsApp reminders and which phone number they go to.
• Payment records: the amount, date, method and reference of a payment — never a card number.
• Basic technical logs: the ordinary request and error logs a website keeps in order to stay up.

We do not sell any of this, we do not sell anything to advertisers, and we do not build a profile of you for anyone else.

• To run the classes you have booked — scheduling, teacher matching, homework, progress.
• To contact you about your own account: booking confirmations, reminders, a teacher's message, a change to a class.
• To take and record payment, and to keep our own accounts straight.
• To keep students safe and to investigate a concern if one is raised.
• To keep the service working and secure.

Marketing email, if we ever send it, is separate and opt-out in one click. Class reminders and account notices are not marketing and will keep coming while you have an active plan.

Video and audio travel live between you and your teacher. We do not record classes.

What we do keep from a session is the ordinary record of it: that it happened, how long it ran, and what the teacher noted about progress. If you use a background effect, it is applied on your own device — the original camera image is not sent anywhere for processing.

We use a small number of established providers to run the platform. They process data on our instructions only, and each sees just the part it needs:

• Authentication — signs you in and holds your login credentials. We never see your password.
• Database and hosting — stores the account, schedule and learning records described above.
• Live video infrastructure — carries the classroom's audio and video in real time; it is not stored.
• Email delivery — sends booking confirmations, reminders and teacher notifications.
• WhatsApp Business (Meta) — delivers class reminders and updates to the number you gave us, only if you opted in.

We do not hand your details to anyone else, except where the law requires it or where a genuine safeguarding concern makes it necessary.

A child's account is created and controlled by a parent or guardian, who can see everything on it and change or delete it at any time.

We collect the minimum a teacher needs — first name, age, gender where offered, and the learning record itself. We do not use children's data for marketing, ever.

We use the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to keep the site secure. That is the whole list — no advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking.

• While your account is active, we keep your account and learning records so your progress survives a break in study.
• After you close your account, we delete or anonymise personal details within 12 months.
• Payment records are kept longer where accounting rules require it.
• Technical logs are short-lived and rotate out on their own.

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you or your child, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can withdraw consent for WhatsApp or marketing messages at any time, from your profile or by replying to us.

Write to support@elbaz.dev and we will act on it within 30 days — usually much sooner. We will not ask you why.

Traffic is encrypted in transit, access to the database is restricted to the people who need it, and staff accounts are role-limited — a teacher can only see their own students.

No system is perfect. If a breach ever affects your data, we will tell you what happened and what we are doing about it, promptly and without spin.
